government plans to relocate its institutions to the new capital by 2019

An adviser to the New Administrative Capital company said Tuesday that the government plans to relocate its institutions to the new capital by 2019.

During a speech before the Euromoney Conference in Cairo, Ayman Ismail, the adviser to Board of Directors in the company, added that the New Administrative Capital has been designed to include administrative buildings such as ministries and parliament, with an innovative design to accommodate the target population of 5 million people.

 

He suggested that the new capital is not the same as the residential cities of 6th of October and the Fifth Settlement in New Cairo.

 

Ismail pointed out that the new capital is closer to the design of Singapore, and the vision has been developed to make the city include more than just government buildings and that it will be built as an integrated city.

 

In order to reach the targeted population of 5 million people, Ismail said there is the aim to move one million residents to the city in the first phase. He also explained that “we are working on building a transport network that links Cairo’s downtown with the new capital and the Suez Canal in 30-40 minutes by electric train.”

 

Ismail said that the government will also renovate old buildings in the current capital to raise their value and preserve them after the first resettlement operations are complete in the new capital.

 

He added that the current capital was designed to be inhabited by 5-6 million people but that its current population is between 18-20 million.

 

The Housing Ministry has said that the city is set to be a 270-square-mile hub, with 21 residential districts to accommodate five million people.

 

It will feature 1,250 mosques and churches, a 5,000-seat conference center, nearly 2,000 schools and colleges, over 600 medical facilities and a park that is projected to be the world’s largest.

 

The new capital will be located between Cairo and the Suez Canal region, boasting its own airport, and will include 490 square kilometers of available land for urban development.

The Egyptian state gazette 215 people

The Egyptian state gazette on Monday published a court order by a Cairo criminal court which added 215 people who are facing trial for membership of the Helwan Brigades militant group to the country s terror list.

The defendants can appeal the new decision.

 

In April, the Court of Cessation overturned a previous lower court order placing the defendants on the terror list, citing insufficient reasoning, and sent the case back to the lower court.

 

The defendants are facing trial on a range of charges connected with the militant group s activities, including calling for the violation of the constitution and the law, preventing the state from exercising its role, assaulting personal freedoms of citizens, and harming national unity and social peace, as well as forming militant groups in the period between August 2013 and February 2015.

 

They have also been accused of committing other crimes, including the murder of a number of police members.

 

The trials have yet to reach a verdict.

 

Journalist Alyaa Awad, who was arrested in September 2014 and worked for the pro-Muslim Brotherhood news website Rassd, is the only female defendant in the case. She is accused of shooting one of the Helwan Brigades  videos,

 

Inclusion on the country s terror list means a ban on travel and a freeze on assets.

 

The current terror list includes more than 2,000 individuals, among them former president Mohamed Morsi, and former Muslim Brotherhood supreme guide Mohamed Badie.

 

Also listed are businessman Safwan Thabet, the founder of the Juhayna dairy company, and football star Mohamed Abou-Treika. 

القائمة النهائية للمدارس المصرية اليابانية

أعلنت وزارة التربية والتعليم والتعليم الفني، اليوم السبت، القائمة النهائية للمدارس المصرية اليابانية، التي وصل عددها الآن لـ 28 على مستوى الجمهورية، بعد أن كانت 45.

وجاءت القائمة على النحو التالي: القاهرة مدرسة واحدة بالشروق (1)، ومطروح المدرسة المصرية اليابانية بالحمام، والبحيرة يوجد مدرسة واحدة بالنوبارية، والسويس يوجد مدرسة واحدة هي المصرية اليابانية بفيصل، والإسماعيلية مدرسة واحدة، وجنوب سيناء مدرسة بطور سيناء.

وفي الدقهلية توجد 3 مدارس (جمصة، تمي الأمديد، ميت غمر)، والجيزة 3 مدارس (حدائق أكتوبر، المدينة الصناعية بأكتوبر، والشيخ زايد)، والقليوبية يوجد مدرسة واحدة فى العبور.

وفى بني سويف توجد مدرسة واحدة فى بني سويف الجديدة، أما فى البحر الأحمر توجد مدرسة واحدة بالغردقة، وفي كفر الشيخ توجد مدرسة واحدة ببيلا، أما فى أسيوط توجد مدرسة واحدة بأسيوط الجديدة، وفي الشرقية توجد 3 مدارس في المناطق التالية (كفر صقر، العاشر من رمضان، العاشر من رمضان).

وشملت القائمة مدرسة واحدة فى محافظة بورسعيد داخل حي العرب، وفى المنوفية توجد مدرستان واحدة بشبين الكوم والثانية بقويسنا، وفى دمياط توجد مدرسة واحدة في دمياط الجديدة، وفي الفيوم مدرسة واحدة فى منطقة الفيوم الجديدة، أما فى الغربية توجد مدرستان واحدة فى طنطا والأخرى فى الشهيد كريم رفعت أحمد، وأخيرًا فى أسوان توجد مدرسة واحدة وهي المصرية اليابانية بالرديسية.

وتبدأ الدراسة بداية من سبتمبر المقبل، أما المحافظات التي لا توجد بها مدارس هذا العام، فهما (قنا، سوهاج).

كان الدكتور طارق شوقى، وزير التربية والتعليم، عقد اجتماعًا بحضور "تكهيرو كاجاوا" سفير اليابان بالقاهرة، وأعضاء هيئة التعاون الدولية اليابانية (جايكا)، والدكتور أحمد الجيوشى نائب الوزير للتعليم الفنى، والدكتور هانى هلال وزير التعليم العالى الأسبق، مستشار الجايكا؛ لمتابعة تنفيذ التجربة اليابانيه فى المدارس المصرية، ومناقشة القرارت والإجراءات والقضايا المشتركة حول التعاون مع الجانب اليابانى فى التعليم العام والفنى.

وأكد "شوقى" أن رئيس الجمهورية يولى عملية تطوير النظام التعليمى اهتمامًا كبيرًا، وهو ما وجه به في الاجتماع الأخير بحضور المهندس شريف إسماعيل رئيس مجلس الوزراء.

وقال: من هنا تسعى الوزارة إلى تطوير المنظومة التعليمية للوصول إلى عملية تعليمية تحفز في طلابنا ملكات التفكير والإبداع للانطلاق بمصر إلى عصر جديد من المعرفة والمشاركة بحق في بناء الحضارة الإنسانية، مشيرًا إلى أن المشروع المصرى الياباني في التعليم فرصة ذهبية لنقل التجربة اليابانية.

تناول الاجتماع التأكيد على افتتاح (28) مدرسة يابانية جديدة بمحافظات الجمهورية، بالإضافة إلى (12) مدرسة قائمة بالفعل منذ العام الماضي، تنفذ التجربة اليابانية، وأنشطة التوكاتسو.

استشهد علي عبدالعاطي أيوب 35 عامًا، أمين شرطة بإدارة مرور العريش، صباح اليوم الأربعاء، حال عودته من العمل إلى منزله بقرية عاطف السادات، إثر إطلاق الرصاص عليه من عناصر إرهابية.
تم نقل الجثمان إلى مستشفى العريش، بينما لاذ المسلحون بالفرار.
